How often you will really empty the drawer

"Up to 15 days" on a listing is a best case, and where a maker says, it is for one cat. More cats fill the drawer faster. A fair first guess is the claim divided by your cat count. Whisker's own numbers match that: about once a week for one cat, about twice a week for two.

What makes a drawer fill faster
- More cats. PetSafe says multiple cats can share a ScoopFree, but you will replace trays more often.
- Bigger cats. PetSafe notes large breeds like Maine Coons fill its waste trap faster.
- Older or sick cats. PetSafe says cats over 10 often use the box more, and cats with diabetes, kidney or thyroid problems shorten tray life.
- Humidity. PetSafe says bathrooms, showers and basements shorten crystal tray life.
- The wrong litter. Neakasa's FAQ says a box that fills in 1 to 2 days may be low on litter, and to cut back on tofu litter.
Two to three cats per box
